Chase Slate Special No-Fee Balance Transfer Offer

OK folks, it’s with great pleasure that I report on this extremely rare event-like the passing of Halley’s Comet. The Chase Slate card is offering a 0% introductory APR for 15 months on both balance transfers and purchases, with NO BALANCE TRANSFER FEE.

Read that again.

This type of offer literally comes along maybe once every 1-2 years.

It is literally an interest free 15-month loan, assuming you are disciplined in managing your finances.

While you can take the conservative route and invest in some low-yield CDs or savings account, for many folks their best strategy would be to use this money to pay down a high APR credit card or loan.

There’s not much to the Slate Card under normal circumstances (this card doesn’t even offer rewards!), but here are some key points to cover:

  • The total amount of your balance transfer request cannot exceed your approved card limit or $15,000, whichever is lower.
  • You need to make the transfer within 60 days of account opening to avoid the fee. After that, any transfers will incur a fee of either $5 or 3%, whichever is greater.
  • There is no rewards program with the Chase Slate.
  • Slate has no annual fee.
  • Foreign transaction fee: 3% of each transaction in USD.

GetDebit’s Concluding Thoughts on the Chase Slate Balance Transfer Offer

We don’t know how much longer this offer will be around, but if you have strong enough credit to be able to take advantage of the offer, and a need (e.g. paying down a high interest loan, worthwhile investment, etc) then you should grab it!. Happy holidays from the GetDebit Team!
