Prepaid gift cards can make a great gift, especially those branded with a Visa logo, as they can be used anywhere. Blackhawk Network, an industry leader in the prepaid financial market and gift card market, has now made prepaid gift cards an even more attractive offering with the announcement of their new no-fees after purchase program.

Effective November 30, 2009, Visa gift cards sold through Gift Card Mall and Gift Card Mall.com will have no fees other then the original purchase fee. This means that there are no monthly service fees, no inactivity fees, and no fee to replace lost or stolen gift cards.The only fee after purchase that exists is the standard foreign transaction fee charged on all credit cards if used in a foreign currency.

Talbott Roche, the senior vice president of Blackhawk Network, reports that the

“move to offer no fees after purchase Visa gift cards is in response to feedback from our customers, especially in these economic times.”

As Roche reports, “more and more consumers are seeing the value in prepaid git cards not only for gifting but for self use and budgeting,” and “every penny counts.”

The new no fee after purchase policy applies to both new and existing fit cards. All applies only to cards sold through Gift Card Mall, a network of over 350 prepaid cards with locations in grocery stores, convenience stores, drug stores and online. Gift Card Mall reaches over 165 million people per week, and many of these customers will greatly benefit from this simple, new fee-free structure.
