AccountNow and ezTaxReturn.com are partnering this tax season to ease the burden of filing tax returns and receiving tax refunds for an estimated 40 million unbanked or underbanked consumers without traditional bank relationships. Speed, efficiency and low cost are the joint venture’s main focus.
Jim Jones, CEO of AccountNow, Inc. said:
“Research shows that most lower income families have their taxes done by paid preparers who often charge high fees and provide an inconsistent quality of service. As a result, these taxpayers may be missing legitimate deductions such as the Earned Income Credit, and may not be getting the full refund they deserve.”
The partnership claims that in as little as eight days, taxpayers can receive their refund on an AccountNow tax refund card by visiting the ezTaxReturn.com website and following the on-screen prompts. The hassles of high fees and waiting for a check in the mail will be a thing of the past.
AccountNow and ezTaxReturn also maintain that most people should be able to complete their tax return and e-file it with the IRS in 30 minutes or less. The program is free to try out and taxpayers are only charged should they use the service. Satisfaction is guaranteed for the entire process including the tax refund card, so unhappy consumers can receive their money back.
