Toys R Us, the giant toy retailer, announced a new program that let’s you trade in your old video game hardware for a Toys R Us gift card. The program starts on November 20, 2009, and includes a wide range of eligible video game systems.

The Toys R Us video game exchange program is valid at stores anywhere in the U.S. Here’s how the program works:

• Bring your used video game system to a Toys”R”Us customer services desk.
• The customer service agent will scan your system and offer you a price for each item your want to trade in.
• If you like the prices, you can accept their offer, and will be given a Toys R Us gift card loaded with the total price you agreed to.
• You can then immediately use the Toys R Us gift card to make purchases at any Toys R Us location, including the Internet.

This is a great way to get rid of obsolete or unused video game equipment, and get extra spending power for the holidays.
