UniRush and Visa Expand Relationship to Offer New Prepaid Debit Features

unirush-rushcard-logoOn November 19, UniRush and Visa announced that they will continue their longstanding relationship and that they will be expanding the features available on the Prepaid Visa Rush Card.

The prepaid Visa Rush card has made an important contribution to the prepaid market, serving a portion of the approximately 80 million American’s who are financially under-served by traditional banks. Many of these customers do not use traditional banking and rely on cash and pre-paid debit cards for shopping, ATM, checking cashing and bill paying services.

The Prepaid Visa Rush Card offers these customers access to services that make money management easier. Features of the Prepaid Rush Card include the ability to add money at 50,000 point of service locations in grocery stores, gas stations, convenience stores and other convenient local retailers.

The expanded card will continue to offer easily reloading and will continue to be accepted everywhere Visa is accepted. New features include enhanced budget tools, and more messages and alerts to let customers know of balance reloads or to warn of law balance. The RushCard will also allow customers to elect to report data to credit reporting bureaus in order to help customers begin to establish or re-establish credit.

These new features should go a long way towards serving the RushCard mission, which general manager Ram Palaniappan believes is to “empower our members by giving them access to services that help them reach their personal and financial goals.
