Reloading Your GreenDot Prepaid Debit Card

The quickest way to load or reload your Green Dot prepaid debit card is via MoneyPak® Universal Reload™.

Loading Your GreenDot Prepaid Card With MoneyPaks

MoneyPak is a cardboard package that has a concealed number that is worthless until activated at the cash register.

When you take a MoneyPak to the register, the amount you wish to purchase is loaded onto your Green Dot prepaid debit card. You will be charged a $4.95 fee by the retailer.

Most MoneyPaks can be applied immediately after purchase but you may have to wait for up to an hour to redeem MoneyPaks purchased at some retailers. Ask the cashier when the funds can be redeemed the first time you visit a retailer.

To apply your funds, call 1-800-473-3636 or go to www.greendotonline.com. You’ll need to remove the tear-off strip to reveal the package number.

NOTE: If your Green Dot Prepaid Card was purchased at Rite Aid or Walgreens and you return to a Rite Aid or Walgreens to reload the card, you will not need to purchase a MoneyPak package.

Take your Green Dot card to the cash register and tell the cashier you need to reload your card. Your card will be scanned and between $20 and $500 can be loaded instantly. You will charged the $4.95 fee.

Where Do I Buy MoneyPaks?

Located in the prepaid section, MoneyPaks are available from Kmart, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy, Rite Aid, RadioShack, Ralphs, FredMeyer and Smith’s Food and Drug Stores.

For additional retailers, visit www.greendotonline.com and enter your city and state or zip code.

How Much Can I Add?

Although the maximum amount that can be purchased on a MoneyPak varies by retailer, most will permit loads ranging from $20 to $500 per MoneyPak.

Green Dot restricts total daily loading to $2,500 and the maximum card balance is $2,500.

Use Direct Deposit to Load Your GreenDot Card
