Best Frequent Flyer Credit Card

Whether you travel for business year around, or maybe you just take a few vacations here and there, you’re going to find that having a frequent flyer card is going to help you out tremendously. If you’re thinking about getting one, I would highly recommend that you follow these tips.

Why should I get a frequent flyer credit card?

Free airline tickets – Some airlines will give you a free airline ticket just for signing up! Even if they don’t, you can still earn one over time.

Double whammy – If you’re already a part of the club’s frequent flyer program, you can get points added on top of it whenever you use your card. Every time you swipe your card, you’re going to get at least 1-2 miles minimum for every $1 spent. So, that $89 grocery bill will equal 89 miles! Trust me, they add up fast.

Get rewards – Yes, airline companies will give you special rewards by showing your loyalty. Get special discounts, offers, and more.

Get discounts – Besides getting discounts with the airline company, you can also get discounts with their partners. For example, a place like Delta can get you discounts on car rental companies, places like FedEx and more. What you will also find out is that when you use your card there, you can get bonus miles.

So what should I look for in a card?

The fees – Unless you fly a lot, you may not need to pay that annual fee. Again, it’s going to be 100% up to you, but I would recommend that you try to get a card that’s not going to charge you a lot in terms of fees and all of that.

Does this airline fly out of your airport? Ask yourself that question, because the last thing that you want to do is find out that you’re signing up for a card that doesn’t even fly out of your airport!

The rewards – While most of the rewards are the same, you’re going to still want to compare. One card may give you 3 times the points when you spend on groceries, while the other one only gives you 2.

How many miles for a ticket? The whole point in my opinion to get an airline card is for a free airline ticket. How many miles is it going to take to get a free airline ticket?
