A prepaid Mango MasterCard works just like a regular debit card for ATM withdrawals or purchases. However, because you are funding it in advance, you never have to worry about interest charges or overdrafts. You can add money to your Mango card in several different ways.

You can add Money to Mango MasterCard with Direct Deposit

You can have your payroll check deposited to your Mango card account as long as your company offers direct deposit to its employees. All you need to do is complete an authorization form and return it to your employer. A direct deposit form will be mailed with your new Mango card. You can also find one online at the Mango website. Just log in to your account and click on “Direct Deposit” to obtain a form

You can load your state or federal income tax refund directly onto your card. When you prepare your return, you will be given the option of choosing direct deposit of your refund. Just check the proper box and enter the routing and account information found on the form received with your Mango MasterCard or obtained at their website.

You can choose to have your monthly government benefits loaded onto your Mango card. Call the issuing agency and ask if they have any special instructions you need to follow. If not, you can arrange direct deposit of your government payments online at www.godirect.gov or by completing a direct deposit form (found included with your new card or available online) and mailing it to the VA, Social Security Administration, or any other agency that issues your payments.

You can add Money to Mango MasterCard with Transfers

You can transfer funds from your Paypal account to your Mango Money card. Enter the routing and account information from your Mango account (found with your new card or online under direct deposit information) as if it were a checking account.

Other Mango card holders can transfer money to you online or with their mobile phone. There is no cost to the recipient, who will receive a text message (if funds are sent by phone) notice of the transfer.

You can also transfer money from your existing bank account to your Mango card. Go to your bank’s online banking center and log in to your account. Select the option to transfer funds, and when prompted, enter your Mango card routing and account number.

You can add Money to Mango MasterCard at Reload Locations

You can purchase a Green Dot MoneyPak at many retailers nationwide, such as Wal-Mart, CVS, Walgreen’s, and Rite Aid. Pay cash for your MoneyPak and a small reload fee assessed by the retailer and then follow the instructions included with the MoneyPak to load funds instantly to your card.
