Loading Funds on your Prepaid Card Using the Visa ReadyLink Network

visa-logo Since there are so many Visa prepaid debit cards, it makes sense that Visa would make it easy for you to load money onto their prepaid cards. And they have, with their new Visa ReadyLink network.

If your prepaid debit card is one that is issued by Visa, you can most likely load money onto the card using the Visa ReadyLink network.

Here’s how to make sure you can load money onto your card using the ReadyLink network. Ready? Just flip your card over and check the back. Look for the ReadyLink logo. If your card has it, you can use the ReadyLink network. Here’s a picture to help you out.

Next, look for the symbol on the door, kiosk or register at participating merchants. The symbol means the merchant is able to reload your card through Visa ReadyLink.

If you need help finding a participating merchant, search for a reload location nearest you.

Take your card and cash to a cashier or self-service kiosk. The cashier will swipe your card and accept your cash. At a kiosk, you’ll swipe your card and insert the funds. Then, get your receipt and enjoy immediate access to the funds added to your prepaid card account, upon approval by your card provider.

The list of merchants who participate in the ReadyLink network is growing fast.  Here’s a short list of some of the merchants who participate:

  • Safeway
  • Carrs
  • Dominick’s
  • Genuardi’s
  • Pak ‘n Save
  • Pavilions
  • Randalls
  • Vons
  • Tom Thumb
  • 7-Eleven®

(note that not all locations of these retailers participate, check the locator to make sure).
